Anupama wakes up to the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the kitchen. Vanraj, surprisingly, is humming a Christmas carol under his breath, his usually stern face softened by a flicker of a smile. Pakhi enters, dressed in a vibrant purple lehenga, a stark contrast to her usual subdued attire. The tension that has choked the house for weeks seems to have miraculously dissipated overnight.
The day begins with Vanraj and Anupama visiting the temple for Makar Sankranti rituals. As they stand shoulder-to-shoulder, offering prayers to the rising sun, a tentative peace settles between them. The silence isn’t awkward, but filled with a quiet understanding of the path they must tread.
